As we reach the half-way point of our current season, I am going to revist an old topic in preparation for next year. Not that I think this season is done with, but to facilitate a better result than the last time we took this challenge upon ourselves.
The endeavor that I speak of is that of choosing a team name. After not being able to come to a clear concensus before, we decided to continue with "Westminster Presbyterian Church". Now, there is little wrong with that name, as it clearly shows who we represent (in an earthly sense), but it seems to be lacking in creativity. Plus, it is a lot to put on a shirt.
We have added several new guys since we ordered our current shirts, and a few of them (the shirts, not the guys) may also have been misplaced over the course of the past few seasons, so it would seem that the Spring season would be a good time to change things up. With new shirts, comes a new opportunity to decide on a new name to go on the shirts.
I have started a poll (as you can see on the right hand side of the blog) with a few choices for a name. If you have another idea, please vote other and then leave your idea in a comment on this post.
I know we have several creative guys on the team, and many of those have creative wives as well, so I am looking forward to the repsonses.
The poll will close at the starting time of our final regular season game.
